The Office of the Public Interest Disclosure Commissioner is independent from government and government institutions. The Legislative Assembly appoints the Commissioner. As a result, the office is separate from the government of the day and free to come to its own conclusions.
We can provide advice to or receive disclosures from employees of government ministries, agencies and Crown Corporations of wrongdoings in their government organizations.
We are an independent body and will look at disclosures on a case by case basis. We provide presentations and training to the general public and government bodies about The Public Interest Disclosure Act (PIDA).Top of Page
